Picture Archive Post 36

When this is released, I'd be out on NBAD, so yeah...

London United TA216 is part of a batch for Fulwell Garage double decker routes. It is still with London United as TA216, still at Fulwell, and still running routes along Chiswick High Road, albeit usually the 391 now. Inbetween the Fulwell lifespan, it had a spell in 2013 at Hounslow Heath for the 635 and H91 (see post), as seen here:

But now it is back at Fulwell, doing usually the 391.

Route 267 has had a fairly stable but not so uneventful history. It has always run from Hammersmith to Fulwell, with it at varying times going to Hampton Court. It started out as a trolleybus replacement route for 667 from Fulwell (hence the number 267, and hence the 266 came from, yep, the 666!), with Routemasters from May 1962 (yes, the last trolleybuses). It ran between Hammersmith and Hampton Court. In 1970, it was extended to Hampton Court Station. In 1971 the route gained a Turnham Green allocation (V) and turned OPO with the Daimler Fleetline (DMS). In 1979, the Metrobus started to appear, which became the type until the early 2000s. The Turnham Green allocation was removed in 1988, and the route was withdrawn between Fulwell and Hampton Court in 1991. The route was then extended to Hampton Court on Summer Sundays between May 1992 and September 2011, when the extension to Hampton Court was withdrawn permanently. Through that period, it went through the usual single decking on Sundays 1991-2000 (albeit when extended to Hampton Court, it went double deck on Sundays too from 1994). The TAs were introduced in 2002 alongside B7TL/Wright Gemini Is (the VRs, as previously appeared on Picture Archive). SLEs came in early 2006, before those SLEs were replaced by ones from the 27 in 2012. Meanwhile from 2008, SPs started to appear on the route as well, which leads up to the present day.
