I got off the Piccadilly Line at Hammersmith for one reason: Route 9.
On that day, it no longer served Piccadilly Circus/Haymarket and instead went via Pall Mall. Also:
The other reason: London United/RATP VR228 (BD51 YCT). This is one of the very few Volvo/Wright Eclipse Geminis in the London United fleet.
Also, QPR were playing a fixture on Loftus Rd and predictably lost :) (Brentford fan). Football matters aside, Routes 228 and 283 pass the ground so on QPR home fixture dates, they divert. Route 283 has special blinds to show that it is on diversion to avoid Loftus Rd, as shown on London United/RATP OV58 (YJ09 EYV).
London United/RATP SP140 (YP59 ODW) on Route 10.
First Centrewest TN33188 (LT52 WVD) on Route 295 - short working.
I chose to get on the 9 to Piccadilly Trafalgar Square. This is a video of the whole short diversion via Pall Mall:
Trafalgar Square is where we will pick up Part 3.
